Passion Play Theatre, Oberammergau

The Passion Play in the small Bavarian village Oberammergau is performed every 10 years since the 17th century. With hundreds of actors on stage, a large choir and a symphonic orchestra in the pit the inhabitants of the village (only they are allowed to participate) present an incredibly professional play. 2010 was the first time to use a sound reinforcement system at all and 2022 (delayed by corona) all actors and solo singers are equipped with wireless microphones and tracking senders. Since 2010 it was my pleasure to support the Passion Play with a whole bunch of services including room acoustic and electro acoustic consultancy as well as tuning of the Vivace system used for the 3D audio positioning of the actors and for creating an impressive choir and orchestra sound.
